Rick and Morty News: ACCORDING TO A RECENT INTERVIEW, THE DIRECTOR WOULD LIKE TO DIRECT A MOVIE OF THIS COMEDY

In the Film Junkee Vodka Stream podcast chapter on Army of the Dead, Zack Snyder discussed his career and his future projects. However, one twist we didn’t see coming was that he would also confess that he would be interested in dabbling in comedy, especially to make a Rick and Morty movie.

After the blockbusters like Justice League’s Zack Snyder or Army of the Dead, it seems that the director wants to take the opportunity to make more productions of well-known sagas. In an interview he confessed that, despite not being a big fan of comedy, he would be interested in directing a Rick and Morty project.

RICK AND MORTY LIVE-ACTION?

In The Film Junkee Vodka Stream, Zack Snyder himself mentioned that he had already been in talks to direct a short live-action short in a post-credits scene of the animated series. According to the director, this would have worked as a teaser for a larger Rick and Morty project, probably a movie.

Previously, the director had mentioned that he would consider directing films from other Dragon Ball Z franchises, although this idea seems more real. Scott Marder himself, director and producer of Rick and Morty, has said that a movie in the franchise is possible. Although, he confesses that he would like a product that feels longer like a trilogy.
