Gary Whitta leads a team of writers in charge of giving life to the story of one of the first games presented for the future PlayStation 5.
One of the games that amazed during the presentation of PS5 last Thursday was Project Athia, an action game by Square Enix that will be exclusive on consoles for the Sony machine, since it will also come to PC. Hopefully from now to its release, date uncertain, we will know more data, and we already have one and who is behind the script and is none other than Gary Whitta, writer of Rogue One: A Star Wars story, a movie highly prized by fans of the galactic saga. In fact Whitta was once asked about EA’s management of the galactic saga, not being too favorable to it, and has already shown on some occasion to feel close to the medium of video games.
Thus, this game from the hand of the Luminous Productions studio will feature him and other writers with extensive experience in other media, as Whitta himself has assured on Twitter.

What is Project Athia?
Meanwhile, this and the spectacular trailer that the Japanese publisher showed during the digital event is all we know about Project Athia, whose name is probably not even final. More Square Enix itself has left a very brief official description to give us an idea. “In a world that does not belong to her, where resolution will be tested, truths will be questioned and devotions questioned, she will emerge,” says a cryptic synopsis that doesn’t reveal much.

As we said before, Project Athia still has no date on PS5 or PC, the two platforms where it will be released.
