On June 23, Soo Ae’s agency, Huayi Brothers, confirmed that the actress has been offered the leading role in the drama and that she is reviewing the proposal in a very positive way.
The plot of Now We’re Breaking Up focuses on the circumstances surrounding the separation of couples.
Soo Ae has been offered to play Ha Young Eun, a 38-year-old woman who heads the design team for a fashion company. It is a young, determined and imposing looking woman who is susceptible to trends. Despite having a cold personality and a realistic outlook, she works hard and does not believe in wasting time with men.
Should Soo Ae accept the offer, Now We’re Breaking Up would mark her return to the small screen after four years, given that the last drama she worked on was KBS 2’s Sweet Stranger and Me in 2016.
At the moment, no further details have been revealed about Now We’re Breaking Up, except that it will be directed by Lee Gil Bok and written by Jae In.
