Luffy will have to wait to be the King of the Pirates

“One Piece” recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, and during this extended period it rarely took time off for its weekly release schedule. Unfortunately, like many anime this season, Toei Animation has announced that anime production will be suspended until further notice due to the health contingency.

After a report emerged earlier this week that this might be the case, it was officially confirmed through an official statement from Toei Animation revealing the bad news.

“Due to the state of emergency in Japan caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have carefully considered the security measures for the spread and have decided to suspend the Japanese and simultaneous broadcast of” One Piece “and our new series,” Digimon Adventure ” for the moment”.

“Updates on the return of both series will be provided as soon as we know it. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Please stay safe and healthy. ”

Unfortunately we think that these could not be the only announcements of suspensions this week, we hope that the health contingency will end soon and we can enjoy the anime we want.
