The structure of Planet X, which is mathematically put forward but still not observed, can be found very soon. Scientists are investigating whether this celestial body is a planet or a black hole.
The giant Ninth Planet, or Planet X, known as Planet X, which was first introduced by astronomers in January 2015 and is beyond everything we know about the Solar System, draws attention as a very hidden celestial body that we still cannot observe.
The planet, much larger than Earth, is based on mathematical assumptions, but has not been observed yet. However, a research team from Harvard University can soon determine the nature of this mysterious object. Scientists conducting research in an interdisciplinary black hole initiative involving astronomy, physics and philosophy at Harvard University have developed a new method for detecting black holes in the outer layers of the Solar System.
Using the new method scientists are working on, it will be more precisely perceived whether the object outside our Solar System is a planet or a black hole. According to this study, which will be published in the Astrophysical Journal Letters, black holes, which are very difficult to see, will be detected using comets.
Avi Loeb, a professor of science at Harvard University and a member of the team, said: “Since black holes are spontaneous objects, the only way to illuminate this dark environment is radiation.” In this work, the team tries to observe the gathering glows of the comets in the Oort Cloud. Oort Cloud is a theoretical field formed by icy objects around our Solar System, covering a wide distance up to 3.2 light years away.
If there is a planet or black hole there, it will have a significant impact on the orbit of the comets in the Oort Cloud. Harvard scientists are investigating these effects.
What is the Ninth Planet?
The Ninth Planet is a discovery based on mathematical evidence first made by astronomers working at the California Institute of Technology (CALTECH) in 2015. This celestial body, which is thought to be far beyond Pluto and has a very long trajectory, is thought to be about 10 times more than the Earth’s mass. It is believed that this hypothetical celestial body, which is thought to be in an orbit about 20 times farther than Neptune, which is considered as the most distant planet to the Sun, will take 10,000 to 20,000 Earth years to complete a complete orbit around the Sun.
Although its existence is still a theory so far, it will be the first new planet detected to revolve around the Solar System if discovered. Scientists are currently investigating the Oort Cloud with great speed.
